Mirror

The piano album Mirror began as an attempt to write short piano pieces quickly and without pretension, improvising them. In fact I used a different compositional method, in which I first compose something from beginning to end and only afterwards write it down — a way of working that developed in me during my stay in Paris and my work with non-classical artists and musicians. Each of these pieces can be performed exactly as written, but each is also open to improvisation and to the performer's personal interpretation, allowing repetition of sections, changes of register, decisions about dynamics, and more.
